First time visitor with friends and what a fabulous time we had in this beautiful restaurant, we had the £10 lunch menu what amazing value for money and generous portions!
The jewel in this restaurants crown was the lovely welcoming and fabulous Claire who was so fabulous thank you ❤️
Can’t wait to come back
Had an exceptional meal here tonight. The place was packed and there was a 30 minute wait for a table but definitely worth it, I can see why it's so popular. I order the potted mackeral and a steak with blind scouse and chips. The steak was cooked perfectly and was so tender. The service was great too (thanks Claire!) The restaurant has a great ambience to it as well, what a great evening.
Had a great first experience at grill on the corner. It was quite expensive but a nice place to visit on a special occasion. The starter platter to share was a great combo, especially the fishcakes with the sweet chilli dip. I had steak for my main course and it was cooked to perfection, could not fault the food at all!
However, on my second visit I chose one of the specials for my main course which included 'black pudding mashed potatoes', I expected a delicious mix of potato and black pudding but in fact this meant regular mash with a tiny sprinkle of black pudding crumbs on the top...I couldn't help but laugh; even the waitress looked confused about what it was she was serving me. I was happy when the waitress offered to discount this meal as it was nothing like how it was described but when it came to paying the bill this was not taken off and neither was my boyfriends members discount. We ended up having to deal with a very cheeky and unhelpful manager who actually ended up walking away from us shaking her head. The whole thing was extremely unprofessional.
It's a shame the service was so bad this night as the first experience had went so well.
